Week Thirty Six

Join the Generation Distinct Community as we take action through the

Red. Stop. Pray Challenge.

Human trafficking has become a global threat to vulnerable men, women, and children all around the world. It is an injustice that affects millions of people every year on every continent and at all socioeconomic levels. The latest global estimate calculates that nearly 21 million people are victims of human trafficking worldwide. Roughly 4.5 million of those victims are trafficked for the purpose of sexual exploitation.  The International Labor Organization also estimates that 55 percent of all trafficking victims and 98 percent of sex trafficking victims are women and girls.

This week, we are going to partner with the initiatives of a nonprofit called, “Exodus Cry.” They are taking action in order to alleviate this injustice from our world, and this week, we get to join them.

We cannot change the world in a day.  But we can start with crying out to God to prepare our world for this injustice to end and to give us the tools to make it happen.  We can ask Him to go before us and make this world look more like His kingdom.

Areas where human trafficking occurs are often called, “Red Light districts.”

This week, each time you see a red light while you are driving, take some time to pray audacious, bold prayers that God would end human trafficking in our life time.

If you want a reminder, you can purchase a window decal from Exodus Cry  HERE.

This can be a tangible reminder of the commitment we are making to this cause.

This week, post a picture of a red stop light and share with your community the prayers you are praying for this world.

By posting that picture, you could inspire someone to start their own adventure of changing the world and making a difference in the name of Christ.

Be sure to include the hashtag #GenDWeeklyChallenge in your post to join the conversation.

Thanks for joining us as we change the world one week at a time.
