Week Twenty Three
Join us for the
Rice and Beans Challenge!
Here is how this challenge will work:
This week, choose 3 consecutive days when you will eat only rice, beans and water for every meal. No fruit, no desert, and no snacks!
Only rice, beans and water for three entire days.
Now you may be thinking, why in the world would we do that?
There are people all around the world who live in extreme poverty every day. Many of the people living in third world countries live on small portions of rice and beans every day, and many more of those people don’t have any food at all.
Going without the comfort foods we are so used to here in America is one way we can become inspired to actually do something about the poverty that exists in our world.
Sometime this week, take a picture of your plate of rice and beans and post it on social media using the hashtag #GenDWeeklyChallenge. Also be sure to include a link to our website for an easy on ramp for your friends to get involved. In your description, tell the world why exactly you are doing this challenge.
Let’s make a sacrifice this week to help us raise awareness and become inspired to fight for justice in our world.
