Week Twenty Six

This week, the community of Generation Distinct will be pursuing the
Memorize The Word Challenge.

This week we will choose one verse of the Bible to memorize.
Listed below are some of our Staff's favorite Bible verses.  Feel free to choose one of the verses below or to choose your own!

"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience."
-Colossians 3:12

"No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it."
-1 Corinthians 10:13

"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters."
-1 John 3:16

"I was right on the cliff-edge, ready to fall, when God grabbed and held me. God’s my strength, he’s also my song, and now he’s my salvation."
-Psalm 118:14-15

Need some tips on how to memorize? Start with these three steps.
1) Write out the verse 10 times.
2) Put the verse on a notecard and place it somewhere you will see it every day.
3) Read the verse out loud every morning and night.

This week, post a picture on social media of the Bible verse you are memorizing and tell your community why you believe it is important for us to memorize scripture. Make sure to include our hashtag #GenDWeeklyChallenge in your post as well as a link to our website so your friends and family have an easy on ramp to get involved!

Let’s pursue Christ this week and fight to change the world’s view of our generation by memorizing scripture together!
