Meet Generation Distinct Creative Director, Alex Heidner!

One of most beautiful blessings I have experienced since embarking on the adventure of starting Generation Distinct has been the people who have said “Yes,” to join me on our Staff Team.

Our Staff team are some of the most passionate, loving, incredible, talented people you will ever meet.

And I want to introduce them to YOU this week!

Meet Alexandria Heidner- Creative Director of Generation Distinct

How old are you?

What is your favorite hobby?

Photography (

What is the best place you have ever traveled?

London! I went this past summer with one of my best friends. It was a short trip but I loved everything about my time there. From the people, to the food, to the beautiful architecture and everything in between.

Why does the vision of Generation Distinct matter to YOU?

I was the “typical teenager” trying everything I could to fill the void in my heart. When I was 18 and finally figured out that Jesus was the only thing that could fill that void, I knew I had to share my story. About a year into my journey, God showed me Generation Distinct and I quickly realized this was going to play a key role into how I would gain disciples for Jesus.

What does your favorite weekend routine look like?

I will typically have a photo shoot on Saturday morning, but after that, the day is mine! My boyfriend and I enjoy going to Chicago and spending the day walking around. If we’re not in the city, we’re probably at home watching Netflix with our chocolate lab, Sable.

What is one of your greatest passions?

I believe my purpose is to share my story. Vulnerability is something I am proud to have. God doesn’t give us trials to keep them built up inside, I believe he wants us to use our trials to help people.

Where would you love to live one day?

I would love to live in a mountainous or forest-y area. Somewhere like Utah or Northern California would be really cool.

What did you say you wanted to be when you were little?

I had a fascination with waitresses so, obviously, I wanted to be one.

What is something we should know about you?

I have 8 Instagram accounts. :)

Are you a morning person or night person?

Morning!! I love quiet, cozy mornings.

What is playing on your Spotify this week?

The Head And The Heart

Who is one of the biggest mentors in your life?

Caila. She has been my mentor for about a year now and has helped me grow exponentially as a woman and as a daughter of Christ.

Check back later this week to meet Generation Distinct Administrative Director, Faith Schiller!
